Cuoco plans costume change record
Kaley Cuoco will host the People's Choice Awards for the second time in January
Kaley Cuoco has revealed her secret weapon when she returns to host the People's Choice Awards - more wardrobe changes than ever.
The Big Bang Theory actress, who plays Penny in the hit US comedy, wants to "top" herself when she takes on presenting duties for the second time, following her debut at last year's ceremony.
"I did do a phenomenal job - I just don't know how to top it. I'll probably see how many times I can change," she joked at the nominations announcement in Los Angeles.
"I was at maybe six or seven last year, so it needs to be in double digits this year or I'm just not going to be proud of myself. I might be changing on stage."
The 26-year-old, who's also a nominee, faces off against the likes of Glee's Lea Michele, New Girl's Zooey Deschanel and Modern Family's Sofia Vergara in the Favourite Comedic Actress category.
Kaley said she's aiming to bring some of her day job to the role of host.
"Last year I wanted to make sure that it wasn't some giant ridiculous spectacle. We wanted to keep it a little bit more cool and go with the comedy side of it, so I think we're going to do that again this year."
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine leads the nominees with six nods for his work with Maroon 5 and The Voice, while Justin Bieber is the top individual nominee with five music nods, including Favourite Male Artist, Favourite Pop Artist and Favourite Music Fan Following.
Channing Tatum has four nominations, while Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence go head-to-head with three nods each. The Avengers is up for eight awards, and Glee has five nods.
The People's Choice Awards 2013 will take place on January 9 2013.
