Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) hatches a plan of escape from his abusive partner Kirsty
Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs is to shock all his friends when he proposes to his violent partner Kirsty Soames.
The mechanic, played by Alan Halsall is being abused by his ex-cop girlfriend Kirsty, and friends Fiz Stape and Tommy Duckworth have discovered what is going on.
But the Daily Star reports Tyrone's wedding plans are just a cover plan, as he secretly plots to run away from Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) and take their baby daughter Ruby with him.
In scenes to air next month, Tryone and Kirsty are seen drinking champagne in the Rovers Return and telling everyone they have set a date to tie the knot.
Manipulative Kirsty left Tyrone's name off daughter Ruby's birth certificate to stop him having any legal rights over her, so Tyrone decides if he becomes her husband it will help him get out of the abusive relationship and take Ruby with him.
