Corrie's Catherine: Eva heartbroken

Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley has revealed Eva Price is left heartbroken when boyfriend Nick Tilsley dumps her.

Eva has become suspicious that Nick is cheating on her with his sister-in-law Kylie, but when she confronts him in typically dramatic fashion next week, not only does he tell her she got it wrong - he suggests they break-up.

Catherine took time off from filming in her pyjamas to reveal: "This gives you a clue as to how depressed she is. Normally she'd at least have a full face of make up on with the pyjamas, but she's pretty much rock bottom.

"She'd invested everything into the relationship and she's depressed and angry to say the least."

She added: "She really loves him, so when Nick says she doesn't want to go out with him she is truly heartbroken because she fell for him hook line and sinker. So yeah, she's well and truly gutted."

Catherine said Eva was willing to do "anything" to win Nick back. She even goes on a date with Jason Grimshaw in an attempt to make him jealous.

But she revealed: "He's a good looking guy but he's not the brightest button. She totally uses Jason to try and make Nick jealous. Unfortunately it backfires and Nick's really not that bothered."
