Chiles and Tate in relationship?

Catherine Tate and Adrian Chiles have been snapped cuddling up on the grass in California.

The Sun said that the unlikely couple have secretly dated for most of this year, but went public on a holiday to the US.

It said that funnywoman Catherine, 44, famous for her "Am I Bovvered?" catchphrase, and former Daybreak presenter Adrian, 45, "snuggled and snoozed" in a park and went shopping.

An onlooker said: "We were surprised to see them being so intimate. They looked very much into each other and had that besotted look in their eyes."

The newspaper said that they had grown closer after ex Doctor Who star Catherine appeared on Adrian's former ITV chat slot That Sunday Night Show - and got together earlier this year after she had a fling with Take That's Jason Orange.

A friend said: "They're very happy together and love spending time with each other."

Former One Show presenter Adrian, a dad-of-two, ended his 11-year marriage to radio presenter Jane Garvey in 2009, while Catherine has a nine-year-old daughter from a previous long-term relationship.
