Brooks: Baby bump made me broody

EastEnders' star Charlie Brooks has confessed she is feeling broody thanks to Janine's pregnancy storyline.

The 31-year-old actress is mother to seven-year-old daughter Kiki and told Inside Soap magazine she started thinking about having another baby after acting pregnant on the show.

"Wearing the fake baby bump was a pain at times, but it made me broody," Charlie said.

"I've found myself fondling the bump going, 'Ah, I really could do this all over again!"

The soap star admitted acting out the birth of Janine's premature baby Scarlett had been "extremely emotional".

Janine and husband Michael Moon are struggling to cope as they wait to see if Scarlett will survive after being born premature.

Charlie admitted the trauma could change hard-nosed Janine.

She said: "I don't know how she would react if anything happened to her child.

"People respond to things differently. I would think that something like that would change a person for life - but you never know with Janine!"
