Baylis: Corrie is my nan's dream

Marc Baylis has revealed it has always been his grandmother's dream to see him in Coronation Street.

The hunky actor has just joined the soap as Carla Connor's bad boy brother Rob Donovan and told Inside Soap he's looking forward to making his nan proud.

Marc said: "I asked my nan what show she'd most like to see me in, and she said Coronation Street.

"I'm not sure she knows I'm in it full-time yet, though - I think she still believes it's just a walk-on part."

And Marc has promised his character's shady past means he will have plenty of explosive storylines.

He said: "Carla and Rob are both fiery, passionate people - so when they clash, expect fireworks! They have a lot of unfinished business and unresolved issues which could rear their heads at any time."
