Deadly storm to hit Summer Bay
Rhiannon Fish (April) found the scenes tough to film
Home And Away is set to turn into a disaster zone, after a storm hits Summer Bay.
Actress Rhiannon Fish, who plays April Scott in the Australian soap, confirmed that the cast and crew had been hard at work to film the natural disaster storyline, expected to air on UK screens later this year.
"I didn't have a big role in the storm sequence, which I was grateful for because it was full-on," she told TV Week.
"The few scenes that I did have, we had a huge wind machine and a rain machine - and it looks amazing. I can't wait for the audience to see it. Filming it, you did feel like you were inside a storm."
The soap's series producer Cameron Welsh previously confirmed plans for a big disaster storyline, telling Digital Spy: "The biggest stunt/disaster storyline that we have ever undertaken is in the final stages of post-production. It's coming very soon."
Meanwhile, Lincoln Younes is set to take a short break from his Bay alter-ego Casey Braxton, so he can focus on Aussie drama series Tangle.
Dan Ewing, who plays his screen sibling Heath, confirmed that a storyline had been hatched to explain Lincoln's absence from screens.
He told TV Week: "[Casey] won't be coming back the same teenager that he was. I think where he's been is going to harden him up..."
