Alison wants Gavin and Stacey back

Alison Steadman would love to work with James Corden and Ruth Jones again
Alison Steadman has revealed she is hopeful James Corden and Ruth Jones will write a Gavin And Stacey reunion.
The Abigail's Party star played Essex housewife Pamela in the hit BBC comedy and admitted she would love to make more, but writer and co-star James is too busy in Hollywood, riding high on his success after winning a Tony award for his Broadway performance in One Man Two Guvnors.
Alison said: "I wish, but I honestly don't think so. I haven't been told that, but there certainly wouldn't be another series. What we all hope is there might be a Christmas special.
"But Ruth Jones and James Corden are now flying high and James is winning Tony awards in New York.
"I did text him actually when he got the Tony to say congratulations and he texted me back and said, 'Oh Pamelah! I miss you. I miss you!' and I thought, 'Well write me in something again!' It would be great, we would love it, but not at the moment anyway."
The 65-year-old actress was talking in conversation with Lauren Laverne at a special Rooftop Film Club screening of her film Life Is Sweet to launch the American Express Preferred Seating Programme 2012.
Alison was married to Life Is Sweet director Mike Leigh for 22 years and made several films with him. She revealed when they were married they were careful not to take their work home with them.
She said: "I think one of the rules was always that we never discussed the work at home. There's enough discussion going on when we were working, and we were working usually 'til 11 at night, starting at seven in the morning, so there wasn't realy time.
"But there was an unspoken rule that we didn't discuss the work because that would have been off limits."
