Following the disaster that was Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles, Lorraine Kelly has been named as the new host of ITV1's morning TV show, Daybreak.
The 52-year-old telly favourite has been on our screens for 20 years and currently hosts her own weekday morning show, aptly called Lorraine.
However, she will now be taking over the role as Daybreak host, and starting work at 7am.
The male presenter is yet to be announced, but those reported to be in the running include Gethin Jones, Keir Simmons and Chris Hollins.
The chemistry of the line-up is considered crucial to the success of the show.
Poor Adrian Chiles wasn't a hit with Daybreak viewers; he was invariably dismissed as "too grumpy" for the morning show. Christine Bleakley, who followed Adrian to ITV from the BBC, also didn't find favour with the audience.
So what about Xtra Factor host Olly Murs? He's never less than cheerful - would he make a good presenter alongside Lorraine Kelly? How about Richard Madeley? He's no stranger to morning TV and he remains very popular with the key demographic (females). Have your say in our poll.

Lorraine is very pleasant but she sounds so false all the time with this "really, really good ".....or "so so good"......everything is really really .. and she double emphasises things but it makes it worse.
I like Dan Loeb and Kate Garraway, they're good and natural in front of the cameras but I'm afraid I'll also migrate back to the BBC cos I can't cope with Lorraine.. I really really can't!!
Andrew Castle was a gentleman .. and I liked the Pre-Daybreak set up .......ITV must be regretting their decision to even start meddling with this as it's been a pig in a poke ever since!!
Couldn't have put it better Korky she should be put out to grass with her horse, along with Alex Jones, Ester Rantzen and Anne Robinson.
No offence.
Please please don't let Dan (smarmy face) Lobb continue. The man's a joke with his snide sneering at the camera alongside airhead Garroway. Doesn't anyone ever audition these freaks before employing them?
Also hope they don't get fatso Holmes or the other fat catholic homophobic bxxxx Nolan for the job, and is it just me or can anyone else understand what Ms kelly says with her garbled Glasgow accent?
I don't watch this dreadful breakfast slot anymore it's just tabloid fodder for all the unemployed chavs.
I cant understand a word lorraine kellyn says ...is this because its the scots that run itv that she as got the job ...
i totally agree with the lady before what was wrong with daybreak when penny smith andrew caste and ben were doing it ..if its not broken dont try to mend it
look what your left with now...i defected to bbc a day after the changes after years of watching daybreak
and lorraine kelly WILL NOT IN A MILLION YEARS TEMPT ME BACK...![]()
