Cabot Cove in New England is the small, fictional village where author Jessica Fletcher (played by Angela Lansbury) called home. Despite a population numbering a mere 3,560, Murder She Wrote's Cabot Cove was, arguably, more dangerous than Compton in Los Angeles. It was the location of a disproportionately large number of murders. The New York Times actually calculated that almost 2% of Cabot Cove's residents died during the show's run.
