Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for a star has begun in his new ITV show Superstar , with eleven finalists competing for the lead role in Lloyd Webber's rock opera Jesus Chris Superstar.
Going from ten to eleven finalists, it's been a tough path for the Jesus wannabes but they've made it and they really are the cream of the crop.
MSN TV was lucky enough to chat to all eleven of the musical maestros about communal living, the prospect of winning and how scary Andrew Lloyd Webber really is (you might be surprised by their answers...)

oh and just as a by line for Ellen B - what happened to the other winners of Lloyd Webber's shows:
Dannielle Hope (Dorothy) starred in Over the Rainbow next to Michael Crawford then moved to the amazing musical Les Miserable taking a leading character role.
Lee Mead (Joseph) starred as Joseph, then made an album, he has appeared acting in TV shows and programmes, the most recent being Bedlam and is now married to Denise Van Outen and they have a baby girl
Jodie Prenger (Nancy in Oliver) after playing Nancy for many months has featured in many TV programs, co-hosted Loose Women, co-hosted shows on Radio 2 and starred in West End Theatre productions.
Connie Fisher (Maria - Sound of Music) played Maria for 8 months, then had issues with her vocal chords however she still managed to release 2 music albums and star in some west end theatre before she had to have a big operation on her vocal chords.
So in reality all the winners and some of the runners up, did very well out of the Lloyd Webber programmes and like him or not, he and his brother Julian are extremely talented individuals.

Hey guys, there are plenty of other channels on the TV - if you don't like it, switch it off !!! Lord Andrew doesn't really need ITV to fund his show (and it is the advertisers not the viewers who fund the show - no tv licence money goes to commercial channels) and if it gives some singers a chance to make a living from doing something they love, then why not !!! I saw one of the original versions of Jesus Christ Superstar and it is a great musical with great show tunes. Loving the panel and think it is just a good bit of light entertainment and as it is on each night, it will be over soon so you will all have something else to criticise soon !!!!

Another "talent" show - how original, just what we need. Regurgitating Opportunity Knocks was old hat with New Faces so why are we still doing it 40 years on? I am seriously thinking I could soon make do without a TV as there is so much of this rubbish on. Either that or it's cookery shows.
TV execs put something decent on. How about "celebrity" trapeze without the safety net? Or I'm a "celebrity" with no cameras? Or Big Brother where they just lock the contestants up for good with no filming and no way out?
Upside is I am reading more books which are more informative and better for the imagination.

I like Roryhe is wonderful, also the long blonde haired one, The Irish lad is incredibly good, also the other one with dark long hair, and lastly, the young man who is number 11, Andrew can see a GREAT Talent, he has a Jesus like expression, the best I can describe it!!!

Really come on who is sad enough to give a flying fig about a competition which is put on just to make Lloyd Webber even more money. this is not about who will win it's about making the JCSS a big hit and so Webber MONEY. Don't forget YOU pay for the calls to vote NOT him. Bring back the old fashioned Saturday night programmes where you could sit and watch the tv without having to worry about having an opinion as to who is better or less worse than the other person. SURELY we have had enought of pay per view (by the back door) TV. what happened to a bloody good film at 8pm followed by sport at 10.30 after the news then a late scary horror film to finish the night off. The early part of the evening would be for the kids to sit down with mum & dad and watch YBF or a good disney cartoon film. perhaps then we as a country could start to rebiuld the FAMILY instead, the kids are in their rooms with their heads down doing FACEBOOK or MYSPACE or something like that, and we wonder WHY is the country messed up so much.
