Stephen Fry has announced a new collaboration with long-time friend and comedy partner Hugh Laurie.
The host of BBC series QI tweeted: "M'coll Hugh Laurie and I are cooking up a project together. We will be working again soon. Sorry to be mysterious but more news when I can."
Fry and Laurie met at Cambridge in 1980. They were introduced by mutual friend Emma Thompson.
Stephen Fry's credits range from acting (Wilde, Kingdom, Blackadder and US series Bones), to directing (Bright Young Things), writing (The Liar, Making History), narration (the Harry Potter books) and presenting (Stephen Fry in America, QI).
He is also an avid user of social networking site, Twitter.
Hugh Laurie has just completed his eight-season stint as Dr Gregory House in the eponymously named hit TV series. The US show has earned the Englishman an array of awards and a wage packet to match; he is one of the highest paid TV actors across the pond.
In addition, Hugh has found time to fit in Hollywood movies, voiceovers for animated vehicles, comedy appearances, a best-selling novel entitled, The Gun Seller, a best-selling blues album called, Let Them Talk and he filmed Hugh Laurie: Down by the River, a Perspectives film for ITV1 about his love of the blues.
UKTV reunited Fry and Laurie in 2010 to celebrate their 30th anniversary. They have worked on a number of shows together including Saturday Live, Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster and, of course, A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Many fans will be delighted to see the duo collaborating again.

I do hope it's a comedy and I hope it's good enough to rival Blackadder go's forth.
I need cheering up rather badly.
I stopped watching house when it dawned on me that he was the only doctor in America that knew anything about rare and obscure diseases. It bored me rigid with its sychophantic plotlines.
On the other hand I did enjoy Fry and Laurie and he makes a better comedian than a miscast faux American doctor. Do they still make House or have they run out of mythical illnesses?
Bring it on. Hugh Laurie, the one who can't help his comedy smugness and Stephen Fry, the struggling depressionist whose brilliant mind is in constant turmoil with public school flogging and his own success. (Other psychological profiles on request.)
I'll watch it and probably enjoy it if it doesn't go down the French and Saunders route of past glories.
Can't these people stand to have their faces off the screen for more than 5 minutes!?
At least we know it can't be for the money???
