Red Dwarf first look: sci-fi comedy hits Dave soon

UKTV
Cast of Red Dwarf
The resurrection of sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf continues; it will be back for a new series on digital channel Dave later this year.
The broadcaster has released the first promotional image of Red Dwarf X, featuring stars Danny John-Jules, Chris Barrie, Coronation Street's Craig Charles and Robert Llewellyn.
Red Dwarf was last on our screens back in 2009; it was a brave move for Dave, representing its biggest original commission to date.
Thankfully, it paid off - the gang will return once more. It's an excuse for fans to shout "smeg!" at anyone who will listen. Expect to see said enthusiasts break out their mothballed "Smoke Me a Kipper" T-shirts and glue a big letter "H" to their foreheads.
Back in the BBC2 days, Red Dwarf 's premise centred around Dave Lister (Craig Charles) as he tried to survive as the last man alive. In Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, Dave's 2009 revival, Dave Lister returned to his home planet.
The forthcoming series is just as eagerly awaited. Star Chris Barrie said: "I think we've done some of the best Red Dwarf scenes ever. Really looking forward to seeing what the fans think".
Red Dwarf X will air on Dave later this year.

wicked i love red dwarf glad to see the clan back together cant wait!!![]()
A very welcome return from the Boys from The Dwarf! Although I do agree that the Back to Earth thing was rubbish, I really hope this is better. Confidence is high if Chris Barrie thinks it's good though as he is without a doubt the best character. The original series was broken when they replace Rimmer with Kochanski.
Well smoke me a kipper The Dwarf is back with a smegging vengeance, great to see its got a new series looking forward to it WELL DONE DAVE!!
