Nadine Coyle for Celebrity Big Brother?

Reports claim the Girls Aloud star will be heading to the CBB house this summer, but it seems that she doesn’t quite agree with them…

News that Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house later this year will no doubt shock her fans... and her bandmates.

Nadine Coyle appears to have refuted claims that she will appear on Celebrity Big Brother

Reports have claimed the 26-year-old singer, who currently lives in Los Angeles and is set to come together with Cheryl and co for a Girls Aloud reunion tour this year, is in talks to appear on the reality TV show.

However, the star has since taken to her Twitter account to seemingly address the CBB rumours, posting: "Such rubbish written AGAIN in the UK press attaching my name. They live in a fantasy world and create characters. I am not playing. Ever."

She was believed to have been offered £500,000 to take part, the highest fee offered since Jedward supposedly pocketed £1m for appearing on last year's series.

An insider told the Daily Mail that "she couldn't refuse" the offer, because she allegedly owes around £100,000 to the US in taxes for her LA-based bar, Irish Mist.

"This money will allow Nadine to clear all her debts in America and start the Girls Aloud tour with a clean slate. Initially, when she was approached by the station to take part, she turned it down flat," the insider added.

"But when she met TV executives in London last week and saw how much was on the table she eventually agreed. They simply made her an offer she couldn't refuse."

Nadine's career since Girls Aloud hasn't quite taken off the way she'd hoped, with her debut solo album Insatiable reaching a disappointing 47 in the charts. However, according to her Twitter post, maybe she's not quite so in need of that CBB cash after all?
