It's taken a while to get where we are today, but the sad decline of the Mitchells has been offset by the rise of the Brannings. Yes, Phil Mitchell is still around, but these days, he tends to be a reminder of the Mitchells' once-glorious past. It's the Brannings who are now the dominant family in Albert Square, headed by brothers Derek, Max and Jack. Move over Mitchells, it's all about the Brannings now.
