Their act Loreen performed a dance song Euphoria, which proved to be very popular!

Neighbouring countries obviously vote for themselves, and Eastern Europe typically closed ranks on the outsiders: it shows that Britain is held in great contempt across Europe, for many reasons. But our liberal policies on migration and immigration make us a great target for the money milkers, and we are only too happy to give it to them. This contest only gives them the opportunity to laugh at us whilst milking the money cow and then stabbing us in the back.

The point that everyone does not seem to grasp is Eurovision was originally about the members of the EU. Unless we're going to get Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Gibraltar in for a possible 48 points and save some grace it's pre-ordained. A dog could walk on and woof for 90 seconds under the "umbrella" of one of the Eastern European states and it would get votes. Even if we sent Take That, Elton John and George Michael - it wouldn't get any more votes than poor "Hump". We need to pull out now and save money - Sweden was one of the countries along with Russia who could actually afford to put the farce on next year - so let them. We know Britain is one of the best nations on the planet already for the best singers - we don't need this mickey mouse competition. It's proven it's fixed so let them all get on with it.

I am no fan of the Hump, and to be fair the best song probably won. That said the Political voting left Englebert with humiliation that he did not deserve. It is time to leave this competition for good.

The UK will never win Eurovision. Even if it had the best artist in the world representing it, it still wouldn't stand a chance, this is because it is not the artist who is being judged, it is the country they represent that is getting (or should I say "Not getting") the vote; in my opinion Eurovision is a complete waste of British time and money and should be side-stepped simply because of its inability to remain unprejudiced; it holds overtly partisan views regarding the political position of the UK and those view are becoming more and more prominent every year. What a load of cheese on toast!!

Just discovered tonight Englebert Humperdinck was representing the UK. Just shows how much attention I was giving this FARCICAL show. The best part of the show is awarding the points and guessing what country is going to vote for whom.
Predictable as always: everyone ignores UK at the bottom of the table board. I'm surprised we got any points at all. It would not matter if we had the besttest song in the whole of Europe.... it still would have been nil point.
I feel there is some deep seeded malice against the UK. I don't know what it is. But ... and it's a big BUT .... when it comes down to making a quick easy quid they find our country easily on the map. We are the land of MILK 'n HONEY in Europe. They come here in droves and milk the welfare system for all its worth ... and then some. I think it's time to withdraw from the poppycock.

Its nothing to do with being good. The voting is all political and we should now pull out. Everybody has known about this for years, so as with Europe we should pull out and look after our own interests. The amount of money we pile into Europe is criminal and its about time people started to realise. Keep the money where it is best spent.The United Kingdom.

It is nothing to do with puting on a good clean show. It is all tactical voting by the Eastern block countries. Engelbert did a grand job and should be proud but he did not stand a chance. It is about time that we Brits started to realise that we are being taken for a ride, not only with Eurovision but with our membership to Europe. We should pull completely out of Europe and stand on our own feet. Spend our hard earned cash in our country and put the Great back into Great Britan.

Is there any point in watching the Eurovision any more?Its like political parties singing for election votes.It was so bad that I could predict which country would vote for who and it wasn't based on the song/talent.Such a joke
PS:Please please please stop funding this farce of a show,I give the fact that the UK song was crap but it wasn't the worse and is not the reason why the Uk is always at the bottom.
