Matt LeBlanc will return to our screens in July, in the award-winning Episodes.

After being left thoroughly underwhelmed by the Matt LeBlanc's first post Friends project Joey, we were rather dubious when the first series of Epsiodes hit our screens last year.

But, we needn't have worried, as the show, which focusses on a British couple trying to remake a successful British comedy in the States, turned out to be clever, funny and most of all entertaining.

Critics were so impressed with the show that Matt even won a Golden Globe for his role in the show, in which he plays a fictional version of himself.

We've got our comedy-loving hands on the first picture from the second series of the show, which is a joint venture between the BBC and the US network Showtime.

The snap shows a suit-clad Matt peacefully floating in a swimming pool on a rubber ring, with the words underneath reading 'Who needs friends'. Cheeky! But we love it.

The promotional shot also shows Matt's co-stars Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan, who play frustrated screenwriters Beverley and Sean Lincoln in the show, hopelessly floundering around the pool with soaked scripts - much to Matt's (and our) amusement.

The second series of Episodes is set to hit screens in The States in July and is expected to be shown on BBC 2 shortly after.
