Emmys 2012: Homeland triumphs
The 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, TV's equivalent of the Oscars, saw Channel 4 import Homeland triumph over the likes of Sky Atlantic's Mad Men and ITV1's Downton Abbey.
Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, the show's stars, were also honoured during the ceremony which - on the whole - produced few surprises. Just about all the favourites won; find out who took home the top prize in our gallery.

The Yanks always favour their programs. If it was UK awards we would favour Yanks as well to keep them happy. SAD
Thought first series was OK. But did not warrant a second one. Just like The Killing could have been finished in one. But greed takes over and studios realise they can make even more out of the tv companies by dragging it out
