It was all about the money, money, money as Comic Relief raised an astounding £75m - a new record - and Jessie J shaved her head live on television.

Some of the UK's biggest celebrities and presenters (and Hollywood star Will Ferrell) took part in a mammoth fund-raising extravaganza for Red Nose Day, which is now in its 25th year.

Jessie J raised more than £500,000 thanks to having her thick black hair shaved. Speaking to host Dermot O'Leary, who seemed to be enjoying stroking her newly-bald head, she said: "It's the weirdest feeling."

The singer had admitted being nervous beforehand, but told viewers: "It feels so liberating. But this isn't about this (gesturing to her head), it's about donating." Jessie J said it was "amazing" to have raised so much money, and added: "Everyone's crying. My mum's back there, crying with happiness."

We look back on some of the Comic Relief highlights including: David Brent's comeback, One Direction live in the studio, Smithy's stirring speech, Damian Lewis and Dawn French in a Vicar of Dibley sketch and Miss Piggy from The Muppets.
