The Big Breakfast crashed onto our TV screens in 1992 - and hung around for 10 years. Fun, bright and irreverent, it blasted all previous expectations of what breakfast TV should be. Original presenters Chris Evans - in his first major TV presenting role - and Gaby Roslin, caught the tone brilliantly. The show was successfully revived by another presenter duo: Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen (pictured) in 1997.

At its height in 1993, The Big Breakfast was averaging around two million viewers - the highest rated show in its timeslot. Memorable moments include Paula Yates' interviews in bed (including the notorious interview with INXS star Michael Hutchence) and puppet characters Zig and Zag causing morning mayhem.
