The 2012 Primetime Emmy nominations are in and it's a great year for British telly!
BBC's Sherlock nabbed a number of nominations, including the prestigious Outstanding Miniseries Or Movie award.
Ben Stephenson, Controller of BBC Drama Commissioning said in reaction to the nominations: "It's a testament to the quality and breadth of BBC drama that six different titles - Sherlock, Luther, Page Eight, Great Expectations, Song of Lunch and The Hour - have received nineteen prestigious Emmy nominations between them this year."

Along with Doctor Who and New Tricks, Sherlock is one of only three programmes that I bother to tune into now. It's simply brilliant and I hope it continues for a good few years yet.
In a period of utter trash, disposable TV it's delightful that we have three gems, with Sherlock leading the way in terms of quality entertainment.

I Love Sherlock!.. I'll admit it took me a minute to get used to Cumberbatch, but now i really think that this could be one of the great screen partnerships!!...

if im not mistaken did Sherlock not die in last series, Falling from building?
Well we know he's still alive, but i thought the Dr still thought he was dead, meaning end of show????
Is their more Sherlock to look forward to on the horizon?

MMM I'm a straight man and even I want to go to bed with Benedict Cumberbach. He is beautiful, a great actor and Martin Freeman is one of the most sublime, convincing actors I have ever seen; and I am in my 80's. Great show, wonderful writers, phenomenal actors.
