British Soap awards 2012: Corrie and EastEnders dominate

The cast of EastEnders take to the stage.
The British Soap awards were dominated by Coronation Street and EastEnders last night, as they both won seven awards each.
Amongst Corrie's awards were the Sexiest Female gong (awarded to Michelle Keegan) and Best Exit, which was awarded to Katherine Kelly, who played Becky McDonald in the soap.
EastEnders was awarded the prestigious Best British Soap award, which they also won last year.
EastEnders also picked up the gong for Best On-Screen Partnership, which was won by Jake Wood and Jo Joyner, who play Max Branning and Tanya Jessop in the soap.
Pam St Clement, who played Pat Butcher in the EastEndersm, won the Lifetime Achievement award.
Emmerdale walked away with three awards, including the Spectacular Scene Of The Year gong, which was given to them for John and Moira's car accident scene.
Although they picked up nominations, Hollyoaks did not win any awards at this year's ceremony.
