as for the comment below about how cruel it is that the dog is trained what to do....
would you say to those dogs who are made to sniff lugguage every day looking for drugs only to get a ball to play with for 30 seconds before going onto the next one..... bad owners...
or what about the dogs that are made to sniff our bombs?...... bad owners....
or what about the dogs that are trianed to walk a blind person to the shops.... bad owners....
or the dogs that are made to chase after a crook with a knife or gun.... bad owners.
or better still, the dogs that are trained to run around a track after a stuffed rabbit for a few years then to be dumped like they are nothing.... bad owners.....
a young girl who obviously loves her dog and probably will for the rest of its life wins a tv programme and makes a few quid...... good owner?

There is some daft comments on here. BGT is a TV program set up to find a VARIETY ACT to perform at THE ROYAL VARIETY SHOW, so what's wrong with Ashleigh and Pudsey winning, they are what is classed as a VARIETY ACT and VARIETY SHOWS are not just made up of singers and dancers. So the solution for all you people who don't understand the word VARIETY should just watch X Factor, The Voice and Got to Dance.

I bet the queen is pleased that she doesn't have to sit through more of the same. Singers should enter the Xfactor and there should be a separate competition for dancers. We have seen enough of them on BGT. What a welcome change to see an act that is so different and so well prepared. Better still, Pudsey looks like he enjoys it as much as the audience. I would say it is because we are a nation of dog lovers who appreciate the dedication of a young girl and the time and effort she has put into training Pudsey is worth all the votes she got!!!

Congratulations to Ashleigh & Pudsey,
It just goes to show what bond you can get between dog and master and the act last night has proved it all, it has taken things to limits beyond all expectations and it just goes to show that a dog is a man's best friend, How on earth can some people be so cruel to dogs or any animals.This might just get open peoples eyes and make them think twice after watching Pudsey.
To see Simon Cowells reactions last night said it all, such a shame he did not do his dance act with Pudsey.

This is the problem with Britain. A Girl who clearly loves her pet and has taught him to perform amazingly is seen as not talented. It baffles me why some people in this country are so quick to judge hard working people :S. I am glad she won because she deserves the £500,000 for training the dog and inadvertently raising the awareness of cruelty to animals. Most of the singers from the final will be signed by record companies and probably make that amount very quickly.

I cannot believe some of the crap that comes out of some peoples mouths.
ITS A TALENT SHOW NOT A SINGING SHOW.
IT TAKES TALENT TO TRAIN A DOG,
IT TAKES A TALENTED DOG TO BE TRAINED TO THAT DEGREE.
We have had dogs in this country used for years to help the deaf, the blind, to sniff out drug pushers,
to go to war and find bombs to go to the front line in world war one and two.
In the police force to ward off criminals.
They give unconditional love and all they want is love, respect a bed and some food in return.
WHAT HUMAN IS LIKE THAT.
I am sure all the groups, singers, dancers etc on the show will go on to have careers and make a fortune,
so i don't think anyone lost out last night.
The only people that lost out last night are the sad mother F*^@kers who sat there,watched it and felt the need to sit by their computers complaint about the act that won.
GET A LIFE, STOP WATCHING THINGS YOU DONT LIKE, THEIRS A BUTTON YOU CAN PRESS ON YOUR REMOTES.
Stop sharing your negativity with the rest of the world, its all ready full of it.
In this day and age we need to see more joyful things instead of hearing about what country has gone to war, who's blown up somebody again, what pervert has been bought molesting children again, who's been murdered etch, etc, etc.

I agree 110% with Lila Smith's comment. The best act did win and what a clever, dedicated young lady Ashleighly is. Well done both of you. I really do not understand all the negative comments posted on here. This is a decent young girl who has a talent in being able to train her dog, which is more than can be said for some "so - called" dog lovers who let their dogs run wild and poo every where. For once, it would be nice if these people with negative comments would say nice things about youngsters for once.They are all too quick to pick up on bad things but never quick to praise the good things. Just like the media really.

Britain's Got Talent, that's what the competition is called there is a lot of talent gone into training Pudsey by Ashleigh Butler and there is a lot of talent by Pudsey performing his training. It don't matter what people say they are entitled to their opinion but it was the public who voted for Ashleigh Butler and Pudsey. It don't matter where you finish in this competition in the finals if your talent is good enough you will do good most times better than the competition winner.

There can be no doubt the most talented act won the show, to be able to train a dog to do what Pudsey did is phenomenal. there were a host off exelent talent in the final but the fact that Pudsey is a dog swung it.
Lets give them some credit and stop bemoaning there win. It is a talent show not a singing contest, that is for X Factor.
For them now the sky is the limit they will be in huge demand in the future so good luck to them both and well done.

What is everyone complaining about. Pudsey was not perturbed at all by the lights, clapping and waiting around. From auditions to the Final. That's asking so much for anyone to do. Let alone a dog. That's why he won.!!!! Go On Puds.
