At first glance, November 12, 2011, didn't appear to be a very special day. However, what many of us didn't realise was that here in the UK, an eclectic range of people were filming themselves going about their daily business (including a surprise proposal, living with cancer and gay man cruising).

The end result - from over 750 hours of footage, including 11,526 clips submitted to YouTube - was this remarkable film which is having something of a rebirth on iPlayer.

Mad Men: first broadcast Tuesday 12 June on Sky Atlantic

Matthew Weiner's multi award-winning period US drama ended its first season on Sky Atlantic with a finale that sparked debate among fans on Twitter. Some felt it was underwhelming, others loved the low-key approach. This fifth season has given Mad Men fans a great deal to contemplate, even as we admire Don Draper's snappy suits, strain to see through the clouds of cigarette smoke and marvel at the statuesque Joan Harris. Definitely worth a watch.

The Only Way Is Marbs: first broadcast Wednesday 13 June on ITV2

TOWIE: The Only Way Is Marbs

If you don't know what it means to be vajazzled, you've got off lightly where this show is concerned. This time around, the familiar TOWIE faces dropped the carbs and headed to Marbs - that's Marbella to the likes of you and me. Don't expect anything too far removed from The Only Way Is Essex; the only difference is that they partied in the sun. Frothy fluff that set Twitter alight - go ahead and catch-up on the goss.

Man v Food: first broadcast Thursday 14 June on Dave

It doesn't matter how many helpings I get of Man v Food I get, I always want more. Host Adam Richman would definitely approve. For the uninitiated, in this simple yet brilliant series, the genial food lover visits various eateries in the US to take on a hefty food challenge of some sort. You won't believe the size of the food he shoves down his throat. Let's put it this way; haute cuisine it is not.

Dexter: first broadcast Friday 15 June on FX

A serial killer who only attacks other murderers is a great premise for a drama. Some may have wondered just how long Dexter could sustain this raison d'être. Pretty much indefinitely, seems to be the answer; the crime thriller will be back for at least two more seasons. In the meantime, FX aired the season six finale in which the homicide team try to catch up with the Doomsday Killer and a terrible secret was uncovered.

Primeval: first broadcast Saturday 16 June on ITV1

In May last year this fifth run of Primeval launched on digital channel Watch, but if you didn't see it back then, you can catch it on demand now that it's airing on ITV1. Set one year after the death of Johnson and the disappearance of three key ARC personnel, the episode sees the team investigate a giant burrowing insect causing panic across the city.

Stay tuned for more TV catch-up highlights next week.
