What our correspondent in Malmö thought of last night's action
Eurovision landed back in Sweden, the land many people see as the contest’s spiritual home, with a bang on Tuesday night with the first semi-final of 2013. The Malmö Arena in the south of the country was transformed into a sea of flags and fancy synchronized LED wristbands which turned the incredibly excitable audience into a glowing mosaic of the contestants’ national colours.
Sixteen acts were vying for just 10 spots in the grand final, which ensured an incredible (and at times tense) atmosphere, and MSN was there to see it all.

Host Petra Mede was then on hand to introduce the first contestant. Click on to find out the results of the night, and also find out which three acts are the most likely to win at this weekend's big final...
