Based on Gideon Raff's Israeli TV series Prisoners of War (which is, funnily enough, airing on Sky Arts from 10 May), US import Homeland has been a phenomenal success in the UK.
From the Emmy award-winning executive producers of 24, this contemporary thriller stars Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and David Harewood.
Watched live by an average of just over 2m viewers, it has scored impressive overnight ratings for Channel 4 week after week. Clearly, Homeland has enthralled its audience. Best series since Luther , Maybe the best. A real pleasure to think they can still produce quality programmes compared with a lot of the cheap talentless things that are normally on. REALITY TV SUCKS

This is the best series on TV by far for a long time - the twists and turns throughout the whole episodes have been compelling - it will
be a shame when it has finished. Damien Lewis has been amazing, so too has Claire Danes - hope we have some more series like
this. TV will be worth watching again. Well done Channel 4 for this!!

I watched the first three episodes last October over in Colorado and have had to wait til now to catch up. I love it because you have no real idea of what's going to happen. Roll on tonight

What a brilliant programme - Damien Lewis at his best! I have been gripped every week watching
Homeland and frustrated having to wait a week for the next episode.
