The third series of Downton Abbey kicks off on Sunday 16 September. Broadcaster ITV1 is keeping a greatdeal under wraps, but here's some insight into the first episode (mild spoilers ahead).
Matthew is convinced that Laviniaʼs heartbreak at seeing him kiss Lady Mary contributed to her death. Now they are engaged, he cherishes his fiancée, but cannot throw off a sense of guilt.
Following her marriage to Tom Branson in Dublin, Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay) is expecting her first child. Largely free of her role as an aristocrat, she has happily settled in to her life as Mrs Branson.

It makes me smile even though it means that summer is over.....and it's autumn again, but there's bonuses and Downton Abbey is one of them..

It would of been great if they had done womans rights, as far as I'm aware woman were fighting for rights then the war came along so they settled down. But it would of been good if they had shown that period in Downton Abbey.

DOWN ABBY IS FILMED IN HAMPSHIRE AT CLARIE CASTLE .
This is private and in stunnig grounds and there is a local school wirh castle art turrets and a real gem .
Worth a vist to school and see the castle via an appointment with the owners.
Love the show .

Try as I may I cannot watch Downton Abbey, I know it is history. the cast superb and all that, but an awful sense of deja vu, seen it all before, claustrophobia, and a strong desire to watch something else takes over. It may be an age thing, but personally I have moved on from this era.
