David Rosen (the brilliant Joshua Malina) is the Assistant US Attorney. He tends to be a thorn in Oliva Pope's side, but he's a thorn she needs. When things go wrong, he's one of the first on Olivia's list when it comes to advice.
After graduating from Yale University with a BA in theatre, Joshua Malina made his professional acting debut in the Broadway production of Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men.
He went on to star in Sorkin's multi Emmy award-winning drama, The West Wing. Other Sorkin credits include the features The Amercian President and Malice. In addition to his acting credits, Josh Malina is a co-creator and executive producer of various TV shows.

Kerry Washington is a beautiful and talented black woman and yes it' s a disgrace that it' been 38yrs, since Get Christy Love!! (1974) with Teresa Graves as a leading minority in a film. It was a big hit.
'You're under arrest, Sugah'..lol
I hope the UK viewers give this show a chance and prove that minorities can pull in viewers. As we all know (well, maybe not every one), when a black actress gets work, she puts her heart and soul into the role, ’cause she knows it may be a couple of years, before (and if) she gets work again.
