The newest member of the team is Quinn Perkins (actress Katie Lowes), a lawyer with a secret past and a lot to learn. She's not always sure what's going on, but that doesn't stop her from jumping in with both feet to help her colleagues.
Katie Lowes' first break came with a small role in the pilot for Rescue Me. Early in her career, she guest starred in numerous TV series, including The Sopranos and NCIS.
Scandal is an agreeable slice of soap and political drama rolled into one; it airs every Thursday on More4.

Kerry Washington is a beautiful and talented black woman and yes it' s a disgrace that it' been 38yrs, since Get Christy Love!! (1974) with Teresa Graves as a leading minority in a film. It was a big hit.

I hope the UK viewers give this show a chance and prove that minorities can pull in viewers. As we all know (well, maybe not every one), when a black actress gets work, she puts her heart and soul into the role, ’cause she knows it may be a couple of years, before (and if) she gets work again.
