Downton Abbey stars bite back at Benedict Cumberbatch
Following Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch's slamming of Downton Abbey, the cast have retaliated on Twitter.

Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch is not exactly a bashful type, as his slating of ITV1 global phenomenon Downton Abbey demonstrates.
Speaking in The Times, and apparently comparing his new BBC2 period drama Parade's End to Downton, he said: "We're not serving purposes to make some cliched comment about, 'Oh, isn't it awful the way there's this upstairs-downstairs divide'. It's a little bit more sophisticated." Ooops!
On the same subject, he then told Reader's Digest: "We're living in a culture now that's revering, or having a nostalgia trip with, the beginning of the 1900s. Although Downton traded a lot on the sentiment in the last series... but we won't talk about that series because it was, in my opinion, f***ing atrocious." Ouch!
Well, the cast of Downton Abbey have bitten back.
If you follow the likes of Hugh Bonneville (@hughbon) and Dan Stevens (@thatdanstevens) on social networking site Twitter, they have changed their profile pictures to the Benedict Cumberbatch cover of Reader's Digest.

Only after such proceedings end can the Swedes extradite him without reference to Britain.
Well he's safe to go! Britain would never agree to him being extradited o the USA. Come on Julian MSN says so!
Its got nothing to do with the Americans wanting to araldite sorry extradite the guy, although silent but deadlier than a fart! I can smell it from here.
A bit of coincidence though that he seems to be a serial rapist not one women but two.
I don't agree with the guy he's probably costs a hell of lot embarrassment and I can't imagine a Chinese or Russian finding refuge anywhere on this planet for irresponsible and reckless stunt.
He'd be dispatched fairly sharpish by those Chinese & Ruskies or locked up until eyes have moved on hen dispatched.

I totally agree with him. Downton Abbey is ****ing atrocious, and that's being nice about it. It's gutter trash TV in the extreme.
At least Cumberbatch can claim to be in some top class TV, such as Sherlock.
At the end of the day though, it's his opinion and he's perfectly entitled to it.
