I never watched the other series of Downton Abbey but I've watched the new episodes, they are all brilliant actors, and the storylines seem great. They could sell their other homes if they really want to save Downton Abbey.

Its all very entertaining these upstairs, with upstairs and downstairs soaps. Sod, being a servant in those days, the kindly old buffer Lord Grantham,in Downton Abbey was an exemplary employer. However, many employers treated their staff like : serfs.

This is a shock? To whom? The intriguing part for the viewer will surely be Grantham's eventual take on it..
Carmel, mass immigration to Britain did not take place until 1963. In some less easily accessible parts of the UK today, it is not common, unusual believe it or not, to see varying skin colour and ethnicities. Downton reflects 1900 to 1930 presently. There are dogs but mostly working types. How old is your Mum? The world was mostly a nice place in those times only for the wealthy privileged. Downton portrays this excellently at the same time cleverly, the fading old school ideology. Anna's situation, Sybil and the chauffeur, now Edith and the older man, classic historical pin point society developements.

I believe they film Downton Abbey in France as Tesco have just built another store on the last open bit of grass. I do like to see some girls dressed in floral dresses and believe Lewis Day (Queens Soldier) does as well. His wife gets a good seeing to after this show has finished, especially if a servant has been disciplined.
