Doctor Who fans polish off those sonic screwdrivers! The BBC has confirmed 1 September as the date for Doctor Who's return to our TV screens.
The dynamic Time Lord travels through space and time in five fabulous episodes: Asylum of the Daleks; Dinosaurs on a Spaceship; A Town Called Mercy; The Power of Three and The Angels Take Manhattan.
And, as if that’s not exciting enough, the BBC has also announced that Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill are set to burst into action in a brand new mini-adventure entitled Pond Life, online from 27 August.

Pond Life will give fans an advance look at what is to come in the first episode of the seventh series.
Available on the official Doctor Who website and BBC1's YouTube Channel, Pond Life focuses on Amy and Rory and the chaos created when the Time Lord drops in and out of their lives.
Written by Chris Chibnall and Directed by Saul Metzstein, Pond Life will be split into five mini-adventures across the week starting at noon and running each day at the same time until 31 August.
An omnibus of all the episodes will be shown on the BBC’s red button on Saturday 1 September.

Executive Producer Caroline Skinner said: "It's not long until the series itself will be back with a vengeance, but in the meantime Pond Life is a truly heart-warming piece about our best-loved companions and their madcap relationship with their raggedy Doctor."
OK, hands up if you're excited? We are!
