Elena is new to the new series of Dallas. As the cook's daughter, she grew up on SouthFork ranch with John Ross and Christopher Ewing. Elena moved to Dallas from Mexico with her parents when she was eight years old, where her mother Carmen was the beloved cook to the Ewing family. Growing up, John Ross, Christopher and Elena were as close as The Three Musketeers, and while Elena never played favorites between the cousins, it was always Christopher who secretly had her heart and the pair got engaged.

Let's hope that political correctness hasn't crept in, I loved JR bullying Cliff Barnes and the idea that greed and excess were good, roll on episode one.

Its good to see the return of Dallas as i really enjoyed it the first time round and it was one of the old time favourites. Lets hope its as good as the original, although to be honest i dont think that it would have worked without the three main original characters. I would also expect and hope to see Cliff Barnes creep in somewhwre along the line.

You're having a laugh... JR taking over a nursing home??? He should be in the nursing home!!! Characters are too good to be true.. Christopher like his Dad and John Ross like his Dad?? Isn't this just the feuds perpetuating themselves through the kids and in this enlightened age with parents vowing to bring up their Kids differently from how they were brought up, is this really possible??
Won't outdo the original series!! That was one on its own!!

Dallas never was meant to be taken too seriously and it brings back great memories of the late 70's and 80's when it was at its peak. Will we have another 'who shot JR?' scheme? Going with the photos Linda Grey and Patrick Duffy seem to have weathered the years particularly well. I think it will be worth having a nose to see if it matches up to the fun of the original!!

FANTASTIC NEWS. DALLAS WAS ALWAYS THE KING AND NOW ITS BACK . I WATCHED A FEW CLIPS ONLINE AND ITS BIGGER, DARKER, SLEEKER, THAN EVER.MIXING THE OLD WITH THE NEW AND COMING BACK STRONGER THAN EVER. SO EXCITED TO SEE IT BACK. LINDA GREY LOOKS AMAZING.

The original was ground breaking popular drama.
If the writers can capture that feel then it could be great, I hope they manage it.
The plots were stretching reality pretty far but still believable.
I really hope they don't go to the 24 ridiculous!
Bobby in the shower was ridiculous, but they managed to make it work really well - just don't do it too often then it could be a winner like the original.
Looking forward to it - PLEASE don't disappoint me!

hope this is as good as the original, bear in mind when the original series was screened there was only 4 channels to choose from, and i noticed from previous comments that the shower scene was silly, however it worked well and kept us watching, but will it now? when theres over 100 channels to choose from??

i watched the previous series and there were so many plots and sub plots that the ratings were high as the cast were brilliant too..it will be interesting to see how the new series compares...

I hope the cast is as good as the original or I will be very disappointed, and if they don't keep in some of the original cast, I will be disappointed, I want to see Patrick Duffey as Bobby and JR and Sue Ellen and any of the others who want to be in it, I would love to see them all again on the show,
