Bill Paxton takes on the role of Randall McCoy - Devil Anse's arch nemesis. The McCoy family patriarch, Randall is dedicated to wife Sally and a doting father, but he’s saddened by not being able to provide for them as he’d like. Randall is traumatised and imprisoned during the Civil War which makes him bitter towards Devil Anse, who fled the war before he became captured. When Randall eventually returns home from the war, he seeks revenge on the Hatfields...
