X Factor: Melanie Masson is out while District 3 survive - Rylan Clark goes through!

It was a terrible night for Gary Barlow as he lost his second act of three. Melanie failed to impress with her heartbreaking INXS performance and landed in the sing-off alongside District 3.
While the 44 year old mum gave a somewhat screechy version of Lorraine Ellison's Stay With Me Baby, the boys stole the show thanks to the one and only Bryan Adams. Even Melanie's power notes couldn't stand up to a bit of Everything I Do (I Do It for You).
Much as the result was obvious, the judges played fair and took it to deadlock. Nicole Scherzinger knew that Masson had the voice but agreed that the boys had raised their game and deserved a shot. Sadly she knew that this would be Melanie's last chance of fame, so she decided to leave it up to the public. District 3 were through.
Gary was devastated to be losing an act for the second week: “Gutted. For me, Melanie - one of the best singers in the competition.”
Melanie was clearly disappointed but humble in defeat. She told Dermot: “I’ve absolutely enjoyed every single second of being here and the opportunities it’s brought. It’s just been amazing.”
And if you heard distant sobbing while all of this was going on, it could only have been our glitter covered bone of contention, Rylan Clark.
Rylan's face was a picture when Dermot O'Leary revealed he'd made it through and he almost jumped through the stage he leapt so high - talk about over the moon... and surprised! Well come on, we were all shocked weren't we? And maybe just a teeny bit happy for him?
Let's give the guy a break - like his vest says 'leave the boy alone!' It was all worth it just to see Barlow's face!

No wonder strictly is out performing this rubbish, with non talented idiots like Rylan still in the show its should be the Joke Factor.
Its run its course and should be sent packing to channel 5 like all the other crap shows.
I hope Rylan wins now just to prove what this show is all about, ratings and taking the money off 12, 13, 14 and 15 year old girls, not producing stars.
I dont think Melanie should have gone out not with her voice. There is no way Rylan should have got pass the start let alone judges houses. If Simon was still judging he wouldnt have. He is a joke, the show is becoming a joke, so are the judges.
I agree the show has run its course now, time for something else.
Its like watching paint dry.
Rylan should get a one way ticket back to essex.
Barlow could sell himself to this. This show is fixed and as we all know if we are all talking about it even if it is negative then that is better than us not talking about it at all.

WelI.. have to agree with the other that have commented. Even though I like District 3 the boys were out of tune and in the sing off Melanie blew them off the stage they really did not deserve to go to through on that performance. I love the X factor but I do have to say that I really do believe that it is all now a complete fix. Be very careful you guys at the X factor or instead of creating controversy to gain viewing rates you will turn people off rather than on!! Please stop putting though talentless acts. It is just cruel of you when you know that they have no chance of winning. You are using these poor people who are deluded for your own ends…it is not fair on them….they are people after all
