X Factor Halloween Week: Gary Barlow brands Tulisa Contostavlos 'fagash breath!'
James Arthur flies while favourite Ella Henderson flops...

The X Factor's Halloween Week may have been a disappointment, but two men stood out from the crowd. James Arthur stole the show with his goth-rock rendition of Sweet Dreams while judge and mentor Gary Barlow caused uproar by calling Tulisa Contostavlos 'fagash breath!'

Following Christopher Maloney's cruise ship performance of Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew, judge Tulisa Contostavlos asked Gary Barlow: "How many 80s classics are you going to make him destroy?"
The singer/songwriter had little reply, so advised Tulisa to lay off the cigarettes as he could smell her 'fagash breath'. Contostavlos hit back advising him to 'lay off the red wine'. "I can smell that too!" Mature stuff kids!

James Arthur dueted with Labrinth this week and to say he was inspired was an understatement. The rapper asked him to jam with him at the Manchester Academy after being impressed by his performance last week. "It was a totally unreal experience being on stage with Labrinth. He put on a great show and is a real hero of mine."
Let's just say whatever pointers labrinth gave him, he came out tonight a new man!
The Middlesbrough lad sang the Eurythmics Sweet Dreams in a gothic style and took the audience to a dark, angst-ridden place they'd never been before. (Incase you're wondering, it's the same place he keeps his guyliner!)
James wowed the judges with his emotional rendition and all they could do was gush about his talent.
Louis Walsh shouted 'world class!' and warned that a record deal wasn't far away, Tulisa thanked him for always "making an old skool song current" and Gary complimented his artistry.
Pussy Cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger couldn't fault him. "You WILL be an international recording artist."

No longer riding high, Ella Henderson's rendition of Evanescence's Wake Me Up Inside failed to impress.
Gary Barlow didn't like the song choice but praised Ella on an accomplished vocal. Louis didn't like her hair and Nicole Scherzinger described it as her 'least favourite performance. "It was the wrong key for you and anti-climactic."
Although criticised for her balladesque rendition of the rock anthem, Ella told the judges "I wanted to make it my own." She obviously hoped for better comments, "I wanted to do it justice."
Do you think Ella's peaked too soon or is her popularity going to her head? And what of James, can he really make it internationally?

i dont blame gary for his comment all tho it was a little childish but hey hes human, he and nicole are the best judges on that panel they really understand what the x factor is really about toulisa and louis are always teaming up an assassinating garys acts thats what is uncalled for every week i think they should have some respect for gary, he does alot for charity in the uk yes using his fame, creating amazing music like "sing" with real people throughout the world and setting up the concert for the queens jubilee. what has toulisa ever done apart from get drunk and shout her mouth off. sorry just my opinion

As good a James Arthur is.He cannot take credit for making Sweet Dreams his own as was stated during tonights show.A certain Marilyn Manson recorded the very same version back in 1995. The judges need to do a little bit more research before giving credit. The video for this is on you tube.Watch and enjoy.

We were spared the torture of hearing Lucy 'sing/talk' one more of her own songs. She has gained an advantage by being 'sick' by not presenting herself for elimination. Louis said tonight that they were looking for a 'recording star'. So why did he keep Rylan in the other week? Ella fantastic.
