X Factor: Amelia Lily is out!
She sang her heart out but the wildcard just couldn't top Little Mix and Marcus Collins

Amelia Lily is the next contestant to leave the X Factor. The public voted and placed her third while Little Mix and Marcus Collins moved on. Marcus and Little Mix will battle it out tomorrow in another sing-off at Wembley Arena.

Amelia sang her own version of Christina Aquilera's Ain't No Other Man and a duet with mentor Kelly Rowland before her exit. Although the judges deemed them both 'vocally sensational' her duet could have been so much more. The pair performed River Deep, Mountain High and sadly their voices didn't gel, it was the wrong song.

At the same time Amelia was overshadowed by Little Mix's stripped back duet with Tulisa Contostavlos and Marcus Collins' first performance of Hey Ya. He was joined onstage by his entourage of dancers while wing-walking on an enormous plane! .jpg)
With the final at Wembley Arena the production may have been massive but it seems that no amount of bells and whistles could save Amelia. She had the voice but sadly her wildcard return meant she could never win... and I don't think the HMV scandal helped either!
Amelia was humble in defeat, "I want to thank everyone for voting me back into the competition, my ambition was to make it to the final and I did it!"
Mentor Kelly Rowland believes it won't be the last we see of Amelia: "She's seventeen and look how incredibly bright her future is, she's a star!"

Loved Amelia's performances, Little Mix were excellent too, Marcus 1st song not too hot, but the Duet was sweet.
Amelia showed she is a very good singer with the potential to be an excellent singer, she will make it - and when she does - I hope it is everything she deserves.
Marcus is entertaining - just not credible as a recording artist, he will be great in some sort of show, maybe variety performance of something. Pretty sure it would allow him to contnue in the style of music to which he seems clearly to love but which is not currently relevant.
Little Mix most definately have an audience, they need to work on their harmonies a little better - but after only 3 months in the band they have a bright future and are definately entertaining.
Little Mix to win 
Shocked to see Amelia voted off, but after HMV scandal it was kind of expected, but i don't think it would be the last hear or see of Amelia. She is a recording artist.
Marcus however was far from perfect with his version of Hey ya and now that Amelia is out the Little Mix have a good chance of being "first girl group" to win the x factor. unbelievable...
Amelia was fantastic - much as I like him I really think Marcus should have gone. I absolutely hated hey ya - sung in a weird high pitched voice!!!! Little Mix to win!!!!!Definitely the HMV stunt didn't help Amelia but she's a recording artist and will make it - not so sure bout Marcus - think maybe stage or panto work - not recording though.
Amelia didn't stand a chance wrong song choices, worse production compared to the other 2 act's & the duet with Kelly was wrong wrong wrong, Kelly just couldn't allow her to win or she would have looked the fool. Amelia has the best vocals by far with less training that the others so imagine what she can do when she get's the right vocal training. I'm not saying Little Mix or Marcus aren't good they are but it's just a shame politics came into it.
You go girl & show them what you're made of now, i hope Marcus wins because Little Mix will do better not being tied to syco & will be just as good if not better than the other girl groups out there. And yes i'm from the North East so was supporting both acts 
Completely agree with Michael. Amelia Lily was outstanding. After the show was finished, there were only 3 performances I replayed - Amelia and Kelly's amazing duet, Leona & Michael Buble. Gutted Marcus is still in - if his mentor had been Louis I doubt he'd have got this far. He has the Take That fan base to thank for that. A duet with Gary Barlow? Seriously - may as well have told him he'd be in the last 2 before last nights show even started. I will not be buying his album. If he wins I hope he crashes and burns after his first crap album. The only world class act the X Factor has ever produced is Leona Lewis. I would sooner watch paint dry while listening to a bag of drowing cats than watch Marcus prance around on stage like a fairy.
Well it’s nice to see the conspiracy theorists out in force. So nice to see so many nobodies who are on the inside and know how this show works. Let’s face it who cares.
It was not Amelia’s best performance in the this show anyway and singing that song with Kelly was the killer, if you are going to sing a song by Tina Turner make sure that you can at least approach a vague level of being close. Amelia is very strong on her own and she will be around for a long time and successful as long as no one decides she is Leona Lewis and lets her Rock on.
Marcus did well in both songs and deserves to be in the last 2, but I don’t think that he is commercial enough to make it really big the way music charts are today. Though I think that he will be a successful artist and we will be hearing from him for years though not necessarily in the charts.
I think Little Mix will win not because they are so much better than the other finalists but because they are really marketable they will get a big following amongst the younger teenagers male and female and let’s face it they are good both to look at and vocally, add to this they will be getting the vote from the north and south of the country.
As for Dean below. People watch this for entertainment not because it’s the be all and end all of life. You don’t like it! So switch it off. I think you have some real problems which need to be addressed if you can get so worked up over a TV show, rigged or not. So get some help.
