X Factor: Lucy Spraggan 'too ill to perform'

ITV have confirmed that Lucy Spraggan will not be performing on tonight's X Factor due to ill health.

The Official X Factor on Twitter tweeted:

"NEWS: @lspraggan is just too unwell to perform on tonight's #xfactor."

"Lucy will proceed to next weekend's show as happened with @diana_music [past contestant Diana Vickers]."

Spraggan, who is reportedly suffering from "severe flu", was last seen on Wednesday at Ryan Clark's birthday party. A fan of Twitter, she has barely surfaced during the past few days and tweeted the words "f*** I'm ill" today.

In 2008 Diana Vickers suffered with laryngitis and progressed to the next round of the competition without performing.

So it's a free ride for Lucy, is that fair?
Jade Ellis was so ill she barely had a voice last week, there was no pass for her?

its wrong they made jade perform last week when she basically didn't have a voice at all it shouldn't be allowed they should be given the choice perform or leave sort a thing in my opinion

Excuses, excuses. She probably cannot come up with another one of her rapping ditty(s)? As far as I'm concerned, she has ripped off Ed Sheeran's style to a tee. Without it she cannot sing for beans.

Does she actually sing - i thought she just spoke the words ala Victoria Wood style - not right tho - make the party animal sing - jade did last week

Its not flu! the girl's been partying too hard and probably has alcohol poisoning. Trying to live the celeb lifestyle too early.

i think she should sing if Jade had to last week. She shouldn't automatically go through to the next round. She can't sing well anyway.

Perhaps they just couldn't come up with a song to disguise her poor vocals.

Jade carried on regardless last week, but then Jade has talent.

Not a very fair decision.

If you want to stay in the contest, then show your commitment by not partying and getting blathered.  No sympathy. Unfair decision.

I don't think it is fair at all,  treat all contestants alike perhaps this weeks genre wasn't to Lucy's style of music.

If she cant sing then she forfeits her place simple.  I particularly dont like her kind of singing but she should try and perform so people know how ill she is or isnt

I am sorry but this year has got to be the worst yet

 

when simon was on the show there was no nights out or making problems with were they stayed

 

they need to get a grip on them and no she should be kicked off if she can not be on the show

Does anyone actualy care about the fix factor, its the only singing competition in the world where singing counts for diddley squat, but then look at the drongo's judging the crap, Louis the " It's all about "  Tullisa It's about having fun in a poor attempt at covering over her own pathetic singing, Nicole I can tell it how it is about the other judges acts but I will talk utter drivel about my own, and Gary Barlow, the only one that tells the truth and offers abit of constructive advice, but always gets shouted down by gob on legs next to him and then backed up by Mr Ireland.

Get it off our screens, its run its course, actually about two series ago

They have given her a free pass other wise she would have been gone this week before Rylan.

Any way she cannot sing but just rap quite badly ,maybe she has a reasonable following in the same sex society & they feel sorry for her because it cannot be for her singing ability or fashion sense !!!

when  a singer cam't perform then no one should be eliminated that week and the following week 2 acts should be eliminated then.

Absolutely NO WAY should she get a BYE, either she sings, she gets eliminated because she can't sing OR she doesn't sing, but the PUBLIC still have to vote for her if they want hewr to remain in.

 

The debacle last time with that scarecrow Vockers was the worst thing they have done, with 2 very strong singers in the bottom 2 while she strolled through to the next round.

 

People getting a bye skews the votes.

 

And she's not even a SINGER, she's a talker, talking through the songs, and when is she going to perform a song with the proper words.  KICK IT OUT!!!!!!

If jade had to sing then so should she,so is fit enough to go out boozing but not fit enough to do another rubbish song. Cannot understand why the judges rate her for, after this has finished no one will remember her...
