The Voice UK: Eight become four as Danny and Jessie pick for the semi-final
Vince and Bo saved by the public, Becky and Max saved by the coaches

After last night’s slightly crazy live edition of The Voice: UK, it was down to business as four singers were selected to leave the competition. This meant that in Teams Danny and Jessie only one singer each could be saved by the public vote.
The night started with a duet from Team Tom’s Leanne and Ruth. Then it was time to get serious. For Team Jessie, Vince was saved by the public vote, which meant Cassius, Becky and Toni found themselves having to hope that they would be the one Jessie would pick to take through to the semi-finals. “They are all completely different singers and artistes”, said Jessie of her trio.
For Team Danny, Bo was spared by the public, which meant Max, Aleks and David had to wait, while Danny ruminated on his “huge decision.”
First up to decide was Jessie. “Cassius I have seen you push yourself with song choices, but on Saturday night did you let go enough?” she asked. “Becky – your tone and stage presence is so exciting – you’re great, you’re young and you respond. Toni – vocally I’ve always struggled to coach you because you are great. I’m so proud.” So with seemingly very little to split the three, who would Jessie go for? It was that feisty lass Becky who made it through
Before we got to Danny’s decisive moment, Tyler and Jaz gave us a very memorable rendition of The Police’s ‘Roxanne’, which had the coaches, as well as much of the studio audience grooving.
However, the moment could not be delayed any longer. Here was perhaps the hardest coach decision to call yet. “They are incredible,” said Danny of his three acts. “Max – you write you play, you take chances. Aleks – I see you selling a whole lot of records, you are wise beyond your years. David – I see a lot of myself in you, there’s not much in it.” After some further thought, Danny went for his “chancer” Max, much to the obvious disappointment of David and (particularly) Aleks.
And that was that. Next week the coaches lose their power to choose as it’s up to the viewers to pick the acts who will make it through to the final.
So with just eight now left in the competition, have you already picked your winner? Have the coaches made the right decisions? Let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below.

I'm astounded anyone would vote for Bo ... she can't sing ... has no personality ... and looks dreadful.
Becky is almost as bad ...she should have gone home.
Jaz thinks he's won already.
Let's face it though .... There isn't one singer ( I use the word loosely ) left who is worthy of winning. It's like watching a 3rd rate holiday camp contest !
