HIGHLIGHTS:

Tonight it was all about the trials. First Pat Sharpe faced the Bushman's Bungalow and then there was the terrifying overnight Immunity Challenge to contend with. Could you rest up with a rat or sleep with a serpent? Who will survive the night?

  • BUSHMAN'S BUNGALOW: PAT SHARPE

The Bushman's Bungalow is a deserted shack set by a lake, complete with an ancient bushman rocking on a rocking chair on the veranda - spooky stuff!

The shack is divided into rooms, all of which hold hidden stars along with jungle critters. Pat has a limited amount of time in each room and he'll come face to face with numerous nasties as he searches... game on.

First up is the bedroom (three stars to find). Pat rummages through drawers and cupboards, all of which are full of cockroaches and insects. He opens a drawer at the bottom of a wardrobe and I jumped myself at the sight of the snake, no star though... An infested bed of cockroaches next... "Snakes freak me out!"

A nest of rats in the living room, a chair full of mealworms and a possum hole... thankfully he finds one star in the hole but he misses the others. Come on Pat, you can't 'do a Sinitta' now...

    Eugh! The kitchen is rank...
There's a sink full of eels, rotten fly infested fish in the fridge... he's done well - two out of three stars. We're up to 5 meals.

Off outside and it's a bathtub of crocodiles and a bandicoot in a box, no problem for Pat this time - 2 stars, well in.

Splash! Into the lake and it's time to go swimming...
Pat was supposed to row to a buoy in a boat of rotten fish, but he cleverly jumped from the boat and swam... good call. 8 stars out of 12 is a good result for what he had to do. A real vote winner Sharpey, could come in handy if you're up.

  • OVERNIGHT IMMUNITY TRIAL: BED BUGS

The teams arrive at the trial clearing and they are literally mortified. Mark is shocked to see that each bunk is encased in perspex. It's obvious that they'd be sleeping with their 'jungle friends' for the night.

Before the trial begins, each team has to choose which jungle critters their opponents will be sleeping with. Mark gets rats, Sinitta's sleeping with cockroaches and poor Anthony has snakes... he deserves to escape eviction if he can sleep with serpents - fact.

The campers must change into the pyjamas provided and as they lay in their beds the lids are closed like coffins... just watching the preparation is frightening and there's not a critter in sight! I can understand why they're freaked.

What a let down. Sinitta has given up before the trial has started. She has to be the one to go, she's not even trying.

LOL! The critters are released and Mark is screaming like a girl, "I've got rats! Get off my foot, get off my foot!" He's making noises that only whales can hear! Willie's hilarious, he tries to bat off the bugs but as they flood in he gives up... and starts laughing. "Oooh they're tickly!"

Dougie and Emily get crabs and Jessica's rather happy to see her snake. "I was so happy, I love snakes!" And then... she pets it.

Anthony is petrified of snakes. "I saw it come in and I could see it swaying [like they do] it wasn't happy." He did well to tolerate them as long as he did... I think he only bailed because they let another one in by his face as he was nodding off. I'd have been out of there like a shot too!

The alarm goes off and the survivors are over the moon! (I'm so surprised that some of them slept through it!)

The results show that the blue team are the victors. They clocked 35 hours and 56 minutes against the orange team’s 29 hours and 22 minutes. Will it be Lorraine Chase, Willie Carson, Antony Cotton, Fatima Whitbread, Stefanie Powers or Sinitta...
