James Corden wants Gavin and Stacey to return

Gavin and Stacey’s James Corden has said that he wants to make more of the BBC comedy.

Gavin and Stacey fans rejoice – James Corden has said that he ‘definitely’ intends to make more of the show.


The BBC show ended in January 2010, but further specials have been rumoured since, with co-creator Ruth Jones teasing us by saying that she would even want to make a musical special. That’s something that we would love to see!


In an interview with the Daily Mail, James said: “It would be a crime not to [make more episodes”


He added: "It's a great show, writing with Ruth is a gift. I definitely plan on doing more."


James also revealed that he is still good chums with his former Gavin & Stacey co-star Mathew Horne and that he has been invited to his wedding in September. This makes the prospect of a Gavin and Stacey reunion all the more likely – hurray!

Lush!!  Woo Hoo!!!  Best news I've read in a long time.  I hope they start wiring again soon.  Loved the show and my kids have been watching the re-runs since the show ended and love it too.  Good family entertainment with a great cast of characters whom I hope all return to our screens.

I never watched Gavin and Stacy when it was being aired but have been watching the repeats and love it I have never laughed so much since fools and horses.  I hope they do make more with the original actors they were all funny I dont know how Ruth Jones kept her face straight.  Come on James and Ruth bring back Gavin and Stacy.

It's got to happen. It's one of the best comedy programmes on the TV and it was a blow when it finished. Something that good needs to carry on, everyone needs a good laugh.

yes would definitely like new episodes of Gavin and Stacey. I watch the old episodes still as they are very good. let us know when this will happen as this would be very great seeing of of you again.Can't wait to see more of Gavin and Stacey. Annie

I just loved it here in Canada,as I was born in the area of Wales where it was filmed.Brought back  many memories......the program is lovely,I too could watch over again.
