This Sunday celebrity finalists Matt Lapinskas, Luke Campbell and Beth Tweddle will battle it out for the Dancing On Ice title. The question is, what challenges have the judges come up with to test their skills?

First, each skater must perform a Showcase routine. Luke and Jenna, Matt and Brianne and Beth and Dan will be joined by four of the professional skaters in a skating spectacular. It will be their chance to 'bring it' and show off everything they've learned.

Second, the celebrities will relive their favourite routines from the series. These performances could be make or break as following this stage, one contestant will be eliminated.

Finally the remaining two couples will battle it out with their own versions of Torvill and Dean's Bolero. As always they must choreograph this routine themselves.

If that's not enough, we will also be treated to a medley skated by all 12 of this year's contestants (including a recovered Gareth Thomas) AND another legendary rendition of Bolero performed by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - it just wouldn't be Dancing On Ice without it!

All in, the celebrities have a whopping four routines to master. Matt, Luke and Beth have been training harder than ever to snatch the DOI crown but who will have what it takes and come out on top?

Rugby star Gareth Thomas will return to Dancing on Ice this Sunday for the group performance, despite withdrawing from the competition due to motion sickness.

(C) ITV

ITV has confirmed that Thomas will return to take part in a spectacular ensemble skate and regardless of illness, Gareth has made it clear that he is determined to be there.

He posted on Twitter: 'The reality of leaving in a sad way is on me now. Final doctor’s appointment tom. Nothing will stop me from saying good bye on the ice Sunday. X'

Later he added: 'Can’t wait to skate again. As for flying. Never! ;( x'

The former rugby international decided to leave Dancing On Ice after suffering severe motion sickness during his performance of Coldplay’s Vida La Vida on Sunday. Olympic champions Torvill and Dean revealed that Gareth had battled with the condition throughout his high wire training.

After consulting with medics, it was decided that Thomas should not perform his second skate. He was forced to withdraw from the competition when he was unable to take part in the skate-off.

Fingers crossed for Sunday Gareth!

Rugby star Gareth Thomas is the next contestant to leave Dancing On Ice 2013.

Gareth failed to complete his second skate after falling ill during his flying routine. As he was unfit to skate and landed in the skate-off, he felt it would be best to withdraw.

(C) ITVGareth scored 33.5 points for his flying routine to Viva La Vida by Coldplay. After suffering from motion sickness all week, the high wires took their toll and he could not continue. He vomited during rehearsals and again during the live show. Thankfully that part wasn't televised!

All of the celebrity skaters were concerned about Gareth's health and presenter Phillip Schofield advised him to rest after his performance rather than be interviewed.

"I could see that Gareth was swaying beside me. It was obvious that he was unwell, which nobody likes to see."

Gareth was disappointed to have to withdraw but wished his fellow skaters well for the final. Gymnast Beth Tweddle and actors Matt Lapinskas and Luke Campbell will battle it out next week for the Dancing On Ice 2013 trophy.

Fair result tonight?

Keith Chegwin is the next celebrity to leave Dancing On Ice 2013. He failed to land the public vote regardless of an amazing Team Week performance.

Cheggers gave his all during the skate-off but with four routines to learn this week, he was forced to repeat one of his previous performances. It's unclear if this made the judges think twice but the crowd were surprised when Ashley Roberts, Karen Barber and Robin Cousins chose Samia to stay.

Judge Jason Gardiner picked holes in Samia's performance and we all know she can't skate alone but Keith's time had come.

"I've waited a year to get on this show and I've loved every minute of it. Everyone has been brilliant. At least now I can say that for three months I was an athlete".

Bless him!

It's Team Week this weekend on Dancing On Ice. Who'll be working together to take the group title?

(C) ITV
Following Joe's departure, the celebrity skaters were gathered together by coaches Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean for an important announcement.

Actor Matt Lapinskas and Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle were selected as team leaders and asked to choose their teams. With just six skaters remaining, it's going to be a fearsome face-off come Sunday.

The skating teams are as follows:

Team one

Matt Lapinskas

Gareth Thomas

Luke Campbell

Team two

Beth Tweddle

Keith Chegwin

Samia Ghadie

Each team will be competing for the chance to have their scores doubled prior to the public vote. That's a valuable prize as it could keep one team safe from the skate-off.

Who stands the best chance?

Joe Pasquale is the next celebrity to leave Dancing On Ice 2013. The comedian lost out to Keith Chegwin as he had the personality but not the technicality.

(C) ITV
Joe performed to Michael Holiday and Edna Savage's Tiptoe Through The Tulips. He received his highest score to date of 18.5 and nailed two lifts, but it wasn't enough to save him from the skate-off.

Keith Chegwin danced to All About You by McFly. The judges were impressed with his efforts and awarded him 22 points. "You are a joy to watch."

Both skaters gave their 'save me' performances their all but only one would skate again next week.

As the pair faced the result, Joe Pasquale felt at ease. "The only competition I've had has been with myself." Cheggers agreed, "If I go tonight it doesn't matter, I've had a great time."

It was a clean sweep for Keith from the judges, Jason summed up their views. "Personality, you both have that in abundance but technicality... I save Keith!"

As ever Joe was jovial and thanked Dancing On Ice for the experience. "It's a shame but I've had five weeks more than I shouldn't have. Everyone says it's a show of highs and lows but I haven't had a low at all."

Are you happy with tonight's result?

Shayne Ward is out of Dancing On Ice 2013. It's a shocking result as he landed his highest mark of the series and even more unbelievable as he was up against judges favourite Matt Lapinskas. Actress Samia Ghadie and Comedian Joe Pasquale scored lowest on the night.

(C) ITV
As judge Karen Barber said, "this skate off should not have happened." It's a shame that it did, as sadly Shayne could not compete with Matt's emotional performance.

Matt's initial routine was an homage to the ballet and a complete turnaround to anything he'd done before. The judges were impressed giving him 28 points. Shayne oozed sex appeal during his first performance, so much so that judge Ashley Roberts let loose. "I don't think I've ever been turned on by a man in a pink bedazzled shirt, that happened tonight."

Controversially Lapinskas fell during his skate off performance and as presenter Phillip Schofield always reminds us, the judges decision is based on 'that performance alone'... or it should be.

Karen Barber said, "mistakes have been made, but I have to vote for the strongest skater overall - Matt."

Jason Gardiner stuck to his guns, "I expect the skate-off to be performed perfectly, I save Shayne."

Robin Cousins and Ashley both saved Matt. Robin agreed with Karen, "the two routines could not compare technically, even with the mistake. I choose Matt."

Shayne was humble in defeat and heartbroken to have been pitted against his best friend. "I'm truly devastated to be honest but when you're up against Matt, he's always going to come out on top. Thank you so much guys, you've been a great bunch."

Do you think the right man left and was the result based on the skate-off?

After an old rib injury came back to haunt him in training, Keith Chegwin has struggled to cope with the pain... the fact he can't breathe doesn't help! Will he be fit enough to skate tonight?

(C) RexCheggers was in agony yesterday, so much so that his future on Dancing On Ice is in jeopardy.

A source told The Mirror, “Keith came in for training and was extremely breathless. The doctor gave him the once-over and immediately decided to send him away. She said if he tried to carry on with practice there would be no way that he’d be able to compete."

Keith's injury couldn't have come at a worse time for show producers. Joe Pasquale has a torso covered in blisters as he's suffering from shingles, while rugby star Gareth Thomas is hobbling with a foot infection.

It's not looking good people, will we have any competitors left to skate?
