Dancing On Ice: A headbanging semi final!
Matthew Wolfenden and Jorgie Porter to attempt the terrifying trick
That's right people, tonight's semi final night and the celebrity skaters are pulling out all of the stops! Both Matthew Wolfenden and Jorgie Porter will be attempting the notorious headbanger and for Matthew it's his first time and by far his most dangerous move to date.
Last week we revealed that Matthew was rehearsing the headbanger in training and it was unclear when he'd be bringing the stunt to the ice. Now it seems he's confident enough to fling a professional skater so close to the ice that she could snag an instant dermabrasion - ouch!
ITV bosses are not taking any chances and according to the Daily Star have additional medics on standby. Show mentors Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean have ordered the young actors to perform the move like professional skaters so the female must land on her feet and not lay on the ice, a tough call for Jorgie.
An ITV1 insider told the paper: 'This series has been dominated by injuries from broken bones to torn muscles, so everyone is nervous about Sunday. It’s our job to make sure they are well looked after off the ice. Fingers crossed we can get them to the final in one piece!'
Do you think the celebs can pull this off or are we about to witness car crash TV? If this goes wrong, they'll need more than a wet sponge and a sticking plaster!
