Dancing On Ice: Has Jorgie lost her sparkle?

The judges agreed that Sunday's performance was lacklustre, is she on her way out?

Can you believe that Jorgie Porter found herself bottom of the leaderboard on Sunday? Was it a one off or has she peaked too early and lost the judges favour? Maybe they just don't like ribbons...

It was a shock for Jorgie when she scored 23 points on Sunday night, that was obvious from the expression on her face and partner Matt Evers surprise. Head Judge Robin Cousins offered Porter a two point lifeline when he explained that his score was 'incorrect' but controversially Louie Spence refused to alter his 6.5.

Louie dubbed the gymnastic performance “bland and boring,” while Robin gave her the benefit of the doubt. “Her skating skills tonight weren’t that much in comparison to the other numbers. It was very pretty, it was a lovely routine and the ribbon was used to good effect. I probably didn’t mind it as much as Louie did.”

After the show he said: “People say ‘she’s been at the top all the time’ but that doesn’t mean anything. On the day it’s what we see from a specific performance on the night.”

While Jorgie faltered Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden's lion tamer routine left the judges in awe, he landed top spot with a massive 28 points. Cousins couldn't find fault, “Matt was terrific tonight. His partner was a bit of a prop for him too tonight with Nina being the lioness. He ticks all the boxes - very good skating skills, he does the lifts, the acting of the piece... he’s now putting himself in a class of his own.”

Can Jorgie prove herself in the semi finals and claw her way back to the top of the leaderboard or is Wolfenden a dead cert?
