Big Brother: Luke Anderson wins Big Brother 2012
Best friend Adam Kelly took silver while Deana Uppal bagged the bronze...
Luke Anderson has been crowned the winner of Big Brother 2012. The 31 year old Chef took first place with the public pipping best pal Adam Kelly to the £50,000 grand prize.
In Week 1, Luke A opened up to the housemates, telling them he was once a woman. He had hoped that appearing on the show would make him feel 'accepted' by the British public. Tonight his prayers were answered.
Not surprisingly Luke Scrase finished in fifth place and headed straight into girlfriend Ashleigh's arms. Royalist Sara McLean ended up in fourth, leaving to rapturous cheers in a stunning white mini-dress.
One shock result was when Deana Uppal finished third. She was a favourite to win after Conor McIntyre verbally attacked her. She seems to have fallen out of public favour as she was met with nothing but deafening boos tonight.
Luke A's reception was nothing short of sensational. A worthy winner, he stepped out to cheers, applause and fireworks. As he walked to meet Brian, his mother battled the crowd to touch his hand and he managed to blow a kiss to his wife.
He couldn't believe he had won. "It's great to feel acceptance, a big part of this was about acceptance... I've always been an outsider."
Luke admitted that his dislike for Luke S was mainly down to jealousy. "I'd love to be like him physically." He added that he was happy that Conor took the money and wasn't upset about losing £50,00 of what would have been his money. "It's still a good win for me!"
Anderson was overjoyed to share his final moments in the house with Adam. "He's just such a geniune, down to earth guy. A friend for life. It was pretty dramatic when the house was at its worst and it was nice that we found each other."
After watching his best bits Luke's final words said it all... "In there I could be me... the real deal. I can't tell you how amazing that is."

Congratulations to Luke winning Big Brother! Also well done to Adam and Deana. A great top 3! So glad boring Sara and vain Luke S came 4th and 5th!
Don't know why the pathetic chav crowd were booing Deana and chanting to get her out. They were my favourite housemates by far along with Benedict and Lauren. Genuine, decent people unlike the vile, disgusting Conor, Becky, Caroline, Arron, Ashleigh etc.
CONGRATULATIONS and well Done to Luke A, the lad is down to earth and brave for coming out to be accepted, I think he has well and truly been accepted by the nation. I was made up it was decided between the soldiers Luke A, Deana and Adam, the diversity of the three, the bullied, the disadvantaged and the transgender assignment acceptance issue were worthwhile highlights, that we as a tolerant nation can relate to. I was over the moon Luke S got nothing, possibly not even the regular Essex bird Ashleigh and though I did like Sara, she had an aggressive side which put me off her, though I loved it when she put Caroline in her place, I thought she over reacted with both Deana and Scott.
The thing I am not happy with is Luke A winning £50k instead of £100k? If the prize money was £100k then he should get £100k!
I got the impression BB seemed to favour Luke S and Connor, as they were allowed to win protein for themselves and the way the white room was set up for one to be guaranteed a place in the final, BB knew neither Sara or Scott would remain in that room, so BB came up with the idea for Thick & Dumb to have a chance to walk away with £50k what a joke! BB obviously thought Connor would take the money and Luke S would win the show but it has backfired, with Luke A winning the show and rightfully so!!
I wonder why Connor hasn't had his money, no doubt its the legal ramifications over the prize money because no doubt like I, a lot of people have raised concerns over the £50k Connor won, it shouldn't have come out of the prize money? The prize money for the winner was £100k, that should honored! The £50k Connor got should be shouldered by Channel Five, not Luke A, as I feel that BB have brought both themselves and Channel Five into disrepute and therefore they should pay the extra £50k
At the age of 76 and after years out of the spotlight, the Cannes Film Festival was delighted to see Robert Redford finally take centre-stage once more.
